Situated in the Balearic Islands, Ibiza is often overlooked and written off, being perceived as solely a party destination. In reality, the island has much more to offer and is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in Europe. The hotel is located to the quieter north of the island, in Santa Eulalia, just 15 minutes from the airport, 10 minutes from the Golf Course and 10 minutes from the historic town centre of Dalt Vila. Nearby is a tree-lined promenade stretching alongside the sandy white beach and its blue waters. Santa Eulalia is often celebrated as the cultural and gastronomic capital of the island, meaning there are a host of fine restaurants, exclusive shopping areas and art galleries close by, providing a slower and more relaxing pace of life than the bustling resort of San Antonio.

Paul's Review of 38 Degrees North, Aguas de Ibiza
We all know that Ibiza has a reputation for being a party island but it’s also a beautiful place to relax and boost your health and fitness. A four-day wellness break with 38 Degrees North was just what I needed to get fit, detox and recharge. I stayed in Santa Eulalia, a beautiful coastal town with lots of fabulous restaurants and home to a luxury spa holiday and fitness center at...
Adam’s Review of 38 Degrees North at Aguas de Ibiza
At short-notice I decided to immerse myself in a 6-day fitness holiday to one of the most popular hotspot destinations for Europeans, Ibiza; an island of two halves, one with its party side and the other of wellness and discovery. 38 Degrees North Ibiza is a British-run health and fitness retreat in the beautiful town of Santa Eularia, located on the North-East coast approximately 25 minutes from the airport...
Guest Reviews of 38 Degrees North
A had a great week at 38 Degrees North in mid-September, where I was in a group of about 8 doing the Optimal Fitness program.
Faye, the head trainer, was fantastic - extremely well-qualified, friendly, fun and had great recommendations of beaches, restaurants, etc. to make sure the break was balanced between 'work' and 'play'.
On arrival on the Sunday, I received the week's itinerary on check in, and had a wellness consultation to discuss my level of fitness and goals for the week. The itinerary was pretty full on - 4 to 5 exercise classes a day - but included a mix of intense exercise (circuits, kickboxing, strength) and your more relaxed classes (yoga, core, pilates), which helped your body recover to make it through the week.
The best activity was the stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), mainly because it really felt like a real holiday activity - the rest of the classes were great too, but a bit more like the kind of classes I would ordinarily do at home. Kickboxing was also a highlight, which was taught more as a 'real' martial art, rather than your run-of-the-mill fitness class. Some of the locations the classes were held (circuits on a beach, or on a hilltop overlooking the town) were lovely, and almost made you forget you were in the middle of a challenging workout.
The itinerary is flexible, in that you can dip in and out of the classes as you like. I tried my best to get to most of them, but as I also wanted to take advantage of the nightlife Ibiza had to offer on one of the nights, I have to admit I missed a couple of classes early the next morning. While there's a focus on fitness and getting the most out of the week, the team understand you're on holiday, so they understand people are also there for a bit of fun, which I think is a wonderful balance.
The hotel, Aguas de Ibiza, is just gorgeous. My hotel room was just ok (carpark view) but the broader grounds and facilities more than made up for it. The hotel has two gorgeous pools (including a rooftop pool deck with a view), an extensive spa circuit (6 - 7 spas, steam rooms and saunas to help you recover from your workouts), and great food in the restaurant where lunch is served.
The group that attended was great, mainly Brits, with a range of fitness levels, but a good level of enthusiasm for making the most of the week and the time in Ibiza. A great week.
Would recommend to anyone who wants to challenge their body, but enjoy a great holiday in a gorgeous setting (with plenty of pool time)!

I went on my own for a week at the start of July. From start to finish I loved every minute! The hotel, Aguas de Ibiza, was wonderful and very much 5 star comfort with all the mod cons. The spa was the best I've ever visited including 3 pools and a gorgeous outdoor sunbathing area. It was virtually empty during my stay so you could splash around to your heart's content! The rooftop pool is very sexy. I did the Optimal Fitness course and it was fantastic. We had Faye for most of our classes and she was brilliant. Sometimes towards the end of the day we'd be flagging a bit and she always got the balance right between pushing us and knowing when we'd reached our limits. A highlight was paddle boarding with James and then lunch at Babylon Beach which is so gorgeous. Just a heads up although you get a healthy options lunch menu every day you have the hotel breakfast buffet in the morning which is sensational but full of pastries etc so you have to stay strong! All in all loved every minute and will definitely be back.

I visited 38 Degrees North in Ibiza and will definitely be going back. I was on the Optimal Fitness programme and it was the perfect combination of pushing my limits and building core strength as well as more relaxing yoga, pilates and coastal walks. I went on my own and made some lovely friends who I will keep in touch with for sure. All the staff and trainers are very friendly and helpful and are extremely good at what they do. There are no set rules so you can do as much or as little as you like, but there is a big motivation to do your best and get the most out of your stay. There is a full programme to choose from during the day and there is also some down time and less active choices such as mindfulness which I loved. I would certainly recommend it.
